In my life, I’ve met many girls and young women brimming with talent, hopes and dreams who, either because they dropped out, or lost motivation, or lacked financial resources or family support, found themselves on the streets, without having completed their college or university studies. I’ve also met other women who have lived through challenging, painful experiences: physical, verbal, or sexual violence, addiction problems, drug abuse, homelessness or other difficulties.

Their stories and my desire to provide real hope and to ease personal hardship motivated me to launch the Lise Watier Foundation in 2009.  The Foundation is a non-profit organization offering, on the one hand, needed financial assistance to talented girls and young women, giving them the impetus they need to help to pursue and realize their dreams. And on the other hand, the Foundation provides a safe, supportive environment for women where they can regain confidence in themselves, and in life.

I have lived my life for women, surrounded by women, dedicated to women. It is only fitting then, that the Lise Watier Foundation would give back to women. Your generosity can make a real difference in the lives of the women we support along the way.

As part of the Foundation’s first corporate initiative, Lise Watier Cosmétiques has dedicated 100% of the revenues from the sale of ROUGE PLUMPISSIMO lipstick in ROSE TENDRESSE to the Lise Watier Foundation. It’s a way for you to help others while doing something beautiful for yourself.

The Foundation’s second initiative was to inaugurate the Lise Watier Pavilion, in association with the Old Brewery Mission. The Pavilion was opened in December 2010 to provide safe, stable social housing and daily support for homeless women who are on their way to taking their rightful place in society. In other words, the time, space and resources these women need to help them cross the bridge from homelessness to independence. View video.
